Dinosaur Fossil Display

Discover Lynnfield’s history through objects, images, and personal stories that capture the experiences of the people who have shaped our community, past and present.

Current Exhibit

Learning Through Time

This exhibit explores school life in Lynnfield and across Boston’s North Shore during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Through a creativerepresentation of a classroom, to historic photographs and period artifacts, visitors can discover how children spent their days in early schools.

The objects on display, including classroom furnishings, writing tools, and educational materials, offer a glimpse into the routines and experiences of students and teachers from the past. These objects reveal how education and community life have evolved, and what has remained familiar across generations.
