Homeschool Art School: Art, Nature, and STEAM (Mondays)

Ages 4–10 • 2½-Hour Drop-Off Program Explore, experiment, and create at Re-create Studio! Homeschool Art School brings together hands-on art-making, nature study, and STEAM activities in a welcoming environment. Designed for curious children ages 4–10, this drop-off program offers time to follow ideas, build skills, and connect with other homeschoolers through shared creative experiences. Students will explore engineering and science through projects such as hydraulic creatures, conveyor belts, claw machines, and magnetic games. Through various art projects, they can investigate movement, color, texture, and form with splatter painting, pendulum painting, clay, mixed-media sculpture, and much more. Children will be offered opportunities to test possibilities, ask big questions, experiment, and find their own ways to bring ideas to life. Our sessions balance guided projects with open-ended exploration, giving children both a starting point and room to make their own choices. Activities can grow with each child’s age, interests, and abilities, allowing younger and older makers to work alongside one another, share discoveries, and learn together. Along the way, students will practice observation, problem-solving, collaboration, and creative expression. With time for a snack, movement, and outdoor discovery in our studio gardens as weather allows, children can get messy, try unfamiliar materials, revisit an idea, and take pride in the process of making.
